Have you ever felt like you were waiting on God?
Waiting for an answered prayer. Waiting for clarity. Waiting for the next chapter. Waiting for a door to open.
If I’m honest, waiting has never been one of my strengths. I like to make plans, check things off my list, and keep moving forward. But over the years, I’ve learned that God’s timing is never late, even when it doesn’t align with the timeline I had in mind. There is one prayer I’ve been carrying for more than twenty-five years, and although I’m still waiting for the answer, I remain hopeful. I can also admit that there have been times when I stopped bringing it to God and tried to take matters into my own hands. Those choices led me down paths I regret, requiring me to recognize my sin, seek His forgiveness, and return to trusting Him and His timing.
Looking back, I can see how He was working behind the scenes in ways I couldn't have imagined. There were seasons when I questioned the waiting, only to realize later that God was preparing my heart, opening the right doors, and protecting me from the wrong ones. (Thank you Jesus for keeping me from walking through some doors!)
Purpose + Passion Boutique was born from a dream God placed in my heart. It didn't happen overnight. It grew one faithful step at a time. Looking back, I'm thankful He didn't answer every prayer the way I wanted because His plan was so much better than anything I could have arranged myself.
Maybe you're in a season of waiting today. Be encouraged waiting is never wasted when it's spent with the Lord. Even when you can't see it, He's weaving every detail together with purpose.

A Prayer
Father, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is always perfect. When I'm tempted to rush ahead or become discouraged in the waiting, help me to trust that You are working, even when I can't see it. Give me peace to rest in Your promises, patience to wait with hope, and faith to believe that You are weaving every part of my story together for my good and Your glory. Help me walk confidently in the season You've placed me in today. Amen.
