He is never not good. Jesus’ goodness is always present. It is woven into even our worst days. His goodness is not dependent on our feelings or the realities of the situations and circumstances we face. It is simply secure in who He is, which never changes and never fails. It’s important to understand that His goodness doesn’t minimize the reality of the pain, hardship, or bad things we face, but it’s a promise to hold fast to in the midst of everything we experience. On your best day – He is good. On your worst day – He is good. In every in-between – He is good. The one who is always good is working all things together for our good and His glory. Give thanks to Him for His steadfast love and unfailing goodness. “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”
